The NIGHT OPTICS USA 640x480 1x Thermal Sight (NO-TS-640-1) is a rugged, lightweight and powerful Thermal Weapon Sight with a quick-release 1913 mount. Made for military, law enforcement, commercial and private use, the NO/TS-640 is ideal for mid-to-long-range target engagements as well as reconnaissance and surveillance, perimeter security, wildlife observation and control, and a wide variety of other applications.

While night vision technology relies on amplification of ambient light or assisting illumination, thermal devices are completely passive, sensing extremely minute temperature dierentials to acquire targets in daylight and complete darkness while "seeing through" obscurants such as smoke and haze.

The highly sensitive 1x Thermal Sight combines a 640x480 uncooled, Amorphous Silicon Microbolometer Detector with real-time image processing; and Night Optics' proprietary electronics sealed in a lightweight, waterproof housing. Sensitive to less than 50mK, the uncooled detector's 7-14µm spectral response and 640x480 high resolution display ensure crisp "white hot" or "black hot" images regardless of ambient conditions.

The TS-640 Thermal Weapon Sight includes four instantly recalled, unique user settings with reticles custom tailored for individual weapons with corresponding zero, color, brightness and contrast. The standard system with 14° field of view includes integrated 2x and 3x electronic zoom settings.

Additional integrated features include a proximity sensor-triggered, power conserving Standby Mode; shortcut key for quick access to "Favorites" settings; focus, brightness and contrast adjustments; white-hot/black-hot polarity and digital zoom controls; and NTSC or PAL video-out capability.

Powered by internal batteries or a 12v external power source, this Thermal Sight converts to a hand-held monocular with optional hand strap to ensure easy and stable use. The NO/TS-640 is the perfect all-weather, all-condition, medium-to-long-range Thermal Weapon Sight.
