Leupold VX-3 Rifle Scopes
It doesn't matter if you are hunting from a tree stand or from the ground, you can ignore the weather, and forget about dusky lighting. Loaded with optical technology, the Leupold VX-3 Riflescope has been newly redesigned over its predecessor, bringing key improvements to the optic system and durability of the scope. The Xtended Twilight Lens System uses the DiamondCoat 2(TM) protective anti-scratch coating on the lens surfaces that exceeds military standards for hardness and durability. This lens system uses a wavelength-specific lens coating which is designed to optimize the transmission of low-light wavelengths. Blackened lens edges produce unparalleled brightness and resolution by reducing light diffusion and cutting glare while at the same time improving resolution and contrast.
Stainless steel, finger-adjustable, cryogenically-treated adjustment dials and a twin bias spring erector system make adjustments positive and secure. Adjustment dials come in 1/4-MOA for the 1cm metric or target style to 1/8-MOA. There are 21 models to choose from with powers ranging from 1.5-5x 20 mm to 8.5-25x50 mm Long Range Target and 18 styles of reticles. Each riflescope has a gold plated ring around the objective lens and an engraved medallion to show that this scope is a Leupold VX-3.
If you would prefer to have the power of a VX-3 that is mounted lower on your firearm, then consider the Leupold VX-3L. The VX-3L riflescopes combine low-light performance and the revolutionary Light Optimization Profile (TM) which gives the objective lens a slight crescent shape, allowing for the scope to sit closer to your weapon. A 56 mm riflescope can be mounted as low as a 40mm, or a 50mm as low as a 36mm. The crescent removed from the lower radius of the objective lens gives you the low-light advantage of a large objective lens while preserving a lower mount and a more comfortable, secure cheek weld. This riflescope has incredible low-light performance. Also making use of Leupold's cryogenically treated adjustment dials, the VX-3L has 1/10-MOA targeting adjustments. There are 17 models to choose from with powers ranging from 3.5-10x50 mm to the 6.5-20x56 mm Long Range Extreme Varminator.
The Leupold VX-3 includes a custom bullet drop compensating dial to precisely match your rifle's ballistics and a choice of reticles, including: Duplex, Heavy Duplex, Wide Duplex, Fine Duplex, Target Dot, Leupold Dot, Illum. Duplex, Illum. Circle Dot, Illum. Fine Duplex, German #4, Illum. German #4 Dot, LR Duplex, 1/2-MOA Target Dot, Varmint Hunter's, Boone & Crockett Big Game, 3/8 min. Leupold Dot, Illum. Boone & Crockett Big Game, 1/2-MOA Leupold Dot. You have a choice of beautiful Exterior Finishes: gloss black, matte black, gun metal gray, silver and Extreme Varmint.
The super-fast focus eyepiece design has a removable rubber eyeguard. Select models have a side focus parallax adjustment and adjustable objective. Eye relief is 3.3 to 5.3 inches, depending on the model. The magnification system is 3x Twin Bias Spring Erector which exerts up to 30 percent more holding force on the erector, virtually eliminating erector system backlash and stress on the internal workings of the scope (except FX-3-3x Single Bias Spring Erector). The maintube diameter and material is one-inch and 30mm, manufactured from 6061-T6 aircraft quality aluminum alloy. The power selector style is Tactile Power indicator with a range estimating feature on the power selector ring (variable models only). For range estimation, just bracket a deer, reference the power selector, set the power selector to a range, and you will instantly know if the deer is out of range.
The Leupold VX-3 is waterproofed with the high-quality Argon/Krypton fill which provides for enhanced thermal shock resistance. There is a ballistics aiming system on select models. All Leupold VX-3 riflescopes are custom shop serviceable and have the Leupold full lifetime guarantee.
